For over 30 years, Darrell has built a legacy of experience with developers, First Nation economic development corporations and all levels of government, and municipalities.
AC Eagle has a Civil Engineer Technologist on staff that prepares drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Darrell Axani is the president of AC Eagle Engineering Services and is an active volunteer in Kamloops, BC. Darrell holds a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Alberta and a Master of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University.
Darrell’s personal experience extends also to surveying, AutoCAD drafting, construction, materials testing, contract administration and the railway.
Darrell has experience in a variety of engineering fields including municipal engineering design, land development, Indigenous community and industrial development, construction inspections, and heavy construction.
Darrell is a dedicated family man. He is married to his wife Terri, and they have a son in high school. When Darrell isn’t working, he enjoys playing the part of part time chef for his family and friends. Darrell is a member of his Sun Peaks strata council, is an award-winning wine maker (national and provincial), and member of the Kamloops Winemakers Association. His other interests including skiing, biking, gardening, and tending to his many fruit trees and vines, hiking, boating, and camping in the Shuswap.
Growing up, Darrell was a big Oilers and Eskimo fan, but now he cheers for the Lions and Canucks.
Darrell began working at an early age assisting with cleaning and coat check at the family’s banquet hall business in Cold Lake, Alberta. At 14, under a Young Canada Works program, he built picnic tables then went to work in the construction and landscaping industries to pay his way through university.
What’s in a name?
In 2007, prior to confirming the name AC Eagle, Darrell was on site at the Neskonlith dam intake when an eagle hovered overhead. The Adams Lake Indian Band Councillor reported that it was a sign of good luck. Thus, the name was sealed.
